K A T H I E S H A W

Kathie Shaw has a BFA in Photography from Penn State University, an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an M Arch from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She was Co-Director of Jan Cicero Gallery prior to attending architecture school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she was the recipient of the AIA Chicago Chapter Student Award for Interior Architecture, the Women’s Architectural League scholarship, the American Institute of Architects scholarship, the Carol Phelan Fellowship, and a National Science Foundation Summer Institute in Japan research fellowship. Since 2009, she has devoted herself full time to painting.
