This painting commemorates the summer of 2026 and the historic fires across Canada and the United States as well as Europe, which produced such havoc and destruction of the environment that we all depend on for our survival. These are no longer events that can be claimed to be isolated or without a primary cause. The primary cause is human made climate change and is the result of the burning of fossil fuels.
