I made this painting as a tribute to Pete Seeger and his brilliant anti-war song, Waist Deep in the Big Muddy. He was censored by CBS in 1967 when his performance of this song was cut from a broadcast of the Smothers Comedy Hour. The song was brought to mind when a new war against Iran was launched preemptively without any input from Congress by the President in February of 2026.
